Albertans Keeping the Drunk Tank Busy
Wed, 2008-05-07 13:46
Two Albertan drunks kept the Invermere drunk tank busy a few nights ago. An intoxicated 27 year-old male was found, passed out in the lobby of the BMO. Since he was too drunk to tell them where he was staying, he was ushered to the detachment cells for his own safety until sober. Another 25 year-old inebriated male approached an RCMP police vehicle and demanded a ride home or to the drunk tank. When he was refused, he took out his aggressions, first on the police car and later on a lamp post. He got his wish and ended up in the Columbia Valley detachment. No damage was done to the vehicle, lamp post or to the drunk man's hand. Both men were from Calgary and released with violation tickets for being intoxicated in a public place.
