RCMP Catch ‘Budding’ Driver
Thu, 2008-05-08 11:27
Salmon Arm RCMP pulled over a vehicle around 1:30 this morning on the TransCanada after a computer check showed the driver had no license. The Constable detected a strong smell of pot and the suspect admitted to smoking in Revelstoke. A search turned up 8 grams of bud and the Surrey man was issued a 24-hour suspension and had his car towed to the compound. Meantime that incident prompted Cpl Len Laseur to dig up this gem from the archives of the Sicamous Highway Patrol. In April of 1999, a young man was pulled over for speeding near Grinrod and was asked for his drivers license. He told the officer "Why don't you cops get your act together." Yesterday you took away my licence and now today you expect me to show it to you.!" Bob Crouse Astral Media Radio News, Salmon Arm |
