Heads up for Council

Ron Cameron was recently at Salmon Arm Council with a request to rezone his property at 541-30th Street NE from R1/single family to R-4/medium density.  Although Council had some concerns about traffic, they did vote in favour.

Cameron sent a letter to Council giving them the heads up that he was going to apply to rezone again - from R-4/medium density to R-5/high density.

Councillor Ivan Idzan mentioned to Council that considering the location of the property, high density might be a good fit...

"To me anybody that's seeking to build a development in close proximity to schools to support homes for families is certainly worth considering."

Cameron has not sent in a formal request for rezoning.
